2017-18 Ticket Sales Internship Program
The 2017-18 Kingston Frontenacs Ticket Sales Internship Program is dedicated towards introducing students to the business operations of a Canadian Major Junior hockey team. More specifically, students will learn the intricate details of ticket sales and service. As a ticket sales intern, you will play a vital role in the planning and execution of various ticket sales events and strategies. It will also be your goal to present the team with new and unique ideas that you feel will enable the Kingston Frontenacs to increase ticket sales along with the overall experience of attending Frontenacs games.
Another major responsibility of a ticket sales intern will be to support the current sales staff. Our ticket sales team is divided into three categories: inside sales, group sales, and corporate sales. Therefore, you will receive hands-on experience within all three divisions.
Ideal Candidate Description
Whether you have decided to pursue a career in sports or you are still in the decision-making process, the Kingston Frontenacs are seeking students who are dedicated towards learning and working well within a team environment. Many of our staff began their careers as interns for the Frontenacs or other sports teams. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes have enabled them to make this wonderful sport their career. We are seeking individuals with these same characteristics through this year’s internship program.
What is required to participate in this program?
- The Kingston Frontenacs home schedule includes 34 games. As a member of the 2017-18 Ticket Sales Internship Program, you will be required to attend a minimum of 15 games. Your schedule should also be formed by Friday, September 15th. Please note that, if necessary for academic or other relevant reasons, changes to this schedule can be made throughout the season.
- As a ticket sales intern, it is important that you receive experience in the preparation and sales of an Ontario Hockey League game. Therefore, you will be required to spend a minimum of 10 hours/week in the Frontenacs business office at the Rogers K-Rock Centre.
- PLEASE NOTE: Preference will be given to students who are able to join in a full-time capacity (for either or both terms) as part of their school’s current internship program.
