Fronts acquire a pair of players in two separate deals

Kingston—The Kingston Frontenacs have acquired defenceman Adrien Beraldo from the Peterborough Petes in exchange for 10th round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection.

“Due to overage defenceman Mitchell Byrne having season-ending surgery on his hand over the Christmas break, we have added Adrien to our defensive group,” said Darren Keily, General Manager of the Kingston Frontenacs.

Beraldo, an 18 year-old from Stoney Creek, Ontario, played 31 games for Peterborough this season, with 1 goal, 4 assists, and 33 PIM.

The team also acquired goaltender Marshall Frappier from the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for 6th round pick in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.

“Due to a long term injury to goaltender Ryan Dugas we have added Marshall to our team to handle goaltending duties alongside Brendan Bonello,” said Keily.

Frappier, an 18 year-old from Nepean, Ontario, played 22 games in Sudbury last season. He played 22 games so far this season with the French River Rapids of the NOJHL posting a .925 SVS% and a 3.25 GAA.

The Frontenacs return home to Leon’s Centre tonight after the Christmas break to face the Peterborough Petes at 7:00 p.m. for the first of a back-to-back home game weekend, facing the Niagara IceDogs tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at Leon’s Centre.
