Fronts Paws & Claws: Meet Louis

Meet Louis, he is the most handsome man in the shelter!

He came to be at the Kingston Humane Society when his owner was no longer able to care for him.

When he first arrived at the shelter, it was hard for the staff to handle him because he was NOT a happy camper. He would let them know how scared he was by hissing at everyone and not letting a single soul near him!

After some one-on-one time to spend with him, and since then, he has been putty in the staff members hands! He has become the most friendly boy.

As you can see in the photos, Louis LOVES sitting in his cardboard box, a little hiding place makes him a happy boy. Because he is declawed, when he is put into a situation that frightens him, his first instinct is to hiss and growl, for this reason, he is looking for a quiet home with no children. A home that will allow him to take his time to come out of his shell and get comfortable.

If you think he would be a good fit for your home and lifestyle, fill out an application online at!
