Kingston Acquires Guelph Storm Forward Jacob Roach

The Kingston Frontenacs have acquired forward Jacob Roach from the Guelph Storm in exchange for a conditional 15th round selection in 2024.
Roach, a 5’11, 190 lb forward from Brooklin, Ontario, was originally drafted by the Sudbury Wolves’ in the eighth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. Roach scored 93 points for the St Catherines Falcons in the GOJHL during the 18-19 season, and adding an additional 43 points in the playoffs. He continued to work hard and develop in hopes of getting another opportunity in the Ontario Hockey League.
Jacob’s determination paid off before the 2019/20 season, when he signed as a free-agent with the Guelph Storm. He played in 60 games last year and he registered 23 points (12 goals and 11 assists). The versatile 19 year-old showed that he can have success in the OHL and he will look to contribute on a young Kingston Frontenacs team during the 2020/21 season.
